Genre Writing

My students were introduced to the concept of writing in various genres which involved a lot of reading of various genre types, workshopping by writing short pieces in different genres and finally writing a sustained piece of writing in a particular genre. I have a couple of examples on the creative writing page. This activity can also be found on my website on the year 9 page.
